~Raiders~

Near the center of the Wastelands, a large group of raiders was gathered in an encampment. About seventy-five raiders occupied the camp, and it consisted mostly of makeshift tents, a few wooden buildings, and a wooden barricade encircling the camp. It was established alongside one of the large, stone mesas in the Wastelands which provided a wall and foundation for one of the corners. The camp was relatively small, but it served as an outpost, trading point, and refuge for some of the raiders traveling through the Wastelands.

Stalking the shadows atop the mesa a desert terror with its large red crystal protruding from its forehead like a crown watched the raiders intently. This was HIS territory and they werent leaving. So they would make this land their graves. The raiders may hear in the distance the roar of 25 desert demons.

-Raiders-

The raiders were suddenly alerted to the roaring of the desert demons of the distance. They weren't sure what it was, or where they were located, but they jumped to attention and prepared themselves for a possible attack. Every raider in the Wastelands knew of some of the dangers here, and they were ready to face the beasts of the Wastelands. They had no choice if they wanted to survive.

-beasts-

They would see three of the 25 demons on a hill coming toward the base. They would just be standing there, their crimson eyes watching their dinner prepare to give them a fight.

-Raiders-

"Shit...shit! What the hell are those things?"

"Go get Steele, these things are fucking freaky!"

The raiders quickly got to work preparing themselves and the encampment. They closed the gates and secured the barricades which were constructed partially of scrap metal, stone, and wood. Some snipers and lookouts made their way up the makeshift watchtowers to watch the beasts closely through their scoped rifles and binoculars, trying to get a closer look at them. The other raiders went about preparing the other defenses, anticipating the creatures to attack the outpost.

The three beasts would roar loud and they would be answered by 22 more as the rest of the pack bounded up the hill and stopped where the other two were.

A hardy, stoic-looking man wearing heavy armor made of scrap with a customized assault rifle stepped up near the gate, looking out of the barricade through one of the few tiny, slanted slits used for windows. Some raiders gathered around him as he looked out.

"Desert demons. I've seen them before...no joke, guys."

"What the fuck do we do?"

"You shut the hell up and get ready, that's what you do. If they break those barricades, we're all dead. Understand me? Get everything ready. If we go down, we go down like fuckin' men. If any of you try to run, I'll shoot you myself. There's no way out, so we fight together."

"Shit...we're gonna die, ain't we?"

"Shut your mouth. Get the gunners ready. Is everything outside ready to go?"

"Yeah. We're all set..."

"Good. Then let's do this."

The man turned and walked back into the encampment. The raiders all rushed around the camp, getting ready for the demons to approach.

They would hear strange guttural snarls coming from above them on the mesa and when they looked up they would see 25 Ghouls lining the ledge with the huge black desert terror glaring at them with glowing red crimson eyes.

Steele would be one of the first to look up - he saw the figure of the desert terror on the mesa above them a few hundred feet, alongside the ghouls.

"Well, ain't that a motherfucker..."

"Steele? What the hell is that - ..."

"I don't know. I don't fuckin' know. Just get ready - we're gonna keep those demons outside of the barricades, and whatever the fuck that is up there, we're gonna hope to hell it stays where it's at. If that things moves towards us, then I want every damn gun in this place on it until it's down!"

The man had raised his voice, shouting his orders across the outpost, as all the raiders' attention turned towards the desert terror above them.

The desert terror walked toward the edge its tail flung over the side of the mesa and hung there it glared down at them its breath was so hot it seemed it spoke a broken snarled english "My.....Territory....you...trespassers....pay.....price." The demons would have lined up by now and were already prepared to charge the walls. The ghouls were snarling and snapping thier jaws.

Steele smirked up at the demon. He and his men were completely prepared - at the slightest move from any of the demons, they were ready to open fire. Several snipers had their scopes zeroed in directly at the desert terror, as well as some other raiders carrying long-range weapons such as RPG's, improvised explosives, and other scavenged heavy anti-personnel weaponry.

"This ain't your fuckin' territory. This is RAIDER territory! Come get some!"

Th desert terror breaths again letting out a puff of steam "Then......you.....die" He would roar and move back and the desert demon would waste no time and bolt forward. Moving at incredible speeds down the hill. The Ghouls would all snarl at once and begin scuttling and crawling down the mesa at inhuman speeds. The terror would roar and it would echo across the wastes, the signal of a massacre

The raiders let out a battle-cry as they opened fire. Most of them started shooting at the ghouls as they came down the mesa, while the gunners atop the barricade and the snipers shot at the approaching demons. A few heavy machine-gunners, positioned in scrapped-up barricades and improvised bunkers and pillboxes, opened fire with heavy rounds to try and keep the desert demons at bay while the snipers would try and pick a few off at long range. Several RPG's were shot from the watchtowers at them.

As the demons bounded across the plains of the Wastelands, they would find themselves in the center of a minefield - the raiders had improvised mines that they placed all around the area outside the camp. As soon as any of them stepped on an area that came into contact with one of the mines under the surface, it would explode with the impact of a frag grenade directly underneath them. There were dozens of mines in the area, and the large beasts would find it almost impossible to make it across the open field without coming into contact with them.

The beasts were strong and it would take a lot to bring them down, before they began to reach the wall 6 of the 25 beasts had gone down and another 4 looked like faltering. At the mesa ghouls were dropping 15 of the 25 were dead but from behind the terror as he roared again another 30 ran from behind him going as fast as they could which was insanely fast. The ghouls would begin to reach a point where they could jump on the walls.

An RPG set off a series of landmines near the beasts, detonating most of the landmines nearby them that hadn't already exploded. The snipers turned their attention towards the weakened demons, picking them off as effectively as they could before they could get any closer. The machine-gunners at the front of the camp would try to gun down the beasts closest to them, while the other machine-gunners around the camp and the rest of the raiders shot down the ghouls coming down the mesa. Once they reached the walls, they would see that they were heavily fortified with scrap metal, but not impenetrable. The raiders seemed to be fairly effective in holding off all of the creatures...for now.

The other 4 hurt creatures would go down and some of the other would get hurt but keep running, the ones that had died before the did let out a pained cry. The other beasts, ghouls, and the terror let out more loud roars, and 25 more desert beasts answered the roars and began from the other side of the fort blind siding the people focused on what was already attacking them. The ghouls would begin jumping into the fort you could now smell rotting meat on them and u could see tattered clothes like they were once human.

Steele watched the chaos unfolding in front of him. He calmly picked up a radio transmitter and spoke into it as the creatures began pouring into the encampment.

"This is Steele, in the camp down by the mesa. Listen up - I've got some of the ugliest bastards you'll ever see in the Wastelands knocking on my goddamn front door right now, and I'd appreciate a way out if you want any of these raiders to live through this."

"You expect us to send help into that death-trap, Steele? Fuck that."

"What's the matter, candy-ass? Afraid of a couple demons? You'd better be sending a damn evac right now, or these fuckers will be the least of our problems."

Steele organized for some back-up to be sent to the camp, and hoped that he would be able to hold off the demons long enough. The raiders would fearlessly gun down the ghouls that were entering over the barricades, and the ghouls would hardly stand a chance against the raiders until they came into close range. The other raiders would try to hold off the approaching demons, but they would be caught off-guard and have little chance to stop them before they got to the walls.

The beasts would break down part of the wall and move in giving the ghouls a chance to move in and begin to tear at raiders with their massive claws. The terror would laugh a loud low guttural laugh "Die!......DIE!......DIE!"

Some of the raiders suddenly lost some of their courage as the beasts broke through the walls. They tried to keep them at bay, but some of the creatures would be able to close in and easily maul the lightly armored raiders.

Steele sighed. "Hurry the fuck up, would you? I'm not in the fucking mood to die today." He set the radio transmitter down and picked up his heavy assault rifle, alongside an assortment of other weapons. He was positioned in one of the guard posts by the watchtowers, where the beasts were starting to break in. He stepped out of the door fearlessly and opened fire on the beasts without hesitation as his men were getting torn apart next to him.

"Nah. I think it's time for YOU to die, motherfuckers."

One of the ghouls would run up to steele and go to slash at him while the other larger beasts would run through the base and try and kill the rest of the raiders, dispersing them. Ghouls littered the ground alongside the riaders but only 3 more beasts went down.

-Raiders-

Steele seemed completely unphased by the ghoul - if anything, he was slightly irritated as the ghoul's slashing claws clinked against his heavy metal armor. He bashed the butt of his rifle into the ghoul's skeletal face to cause it to stagger a few steps back, and then placed a few well-aimed rounds directly into its skull. He nonchalantly reloaded his rifle as he watched the ghoul drop to the ground, and then wasted no time in firing at the other approaching beasts.

"Shoot the big motherfuckers! Take them down!"

The beasts would be able to easily tear through the tents and makeshift buildings in the camp, but the raiders that weren't surrounded by ghouls would all redirect their fire towards the desert demons. Within the camp, several machine gun bunkers would be the biggest threats to the beasts with their heavy fire and sturdy defenses. They would be able to drop the huge beasts quickly at close-range.

5 more beasts would go down and then one would jump and run straight into a turret platform more than likely killing the people in it while another was being swarmed by ghouls who would try and tear apart the people in the emplacement. The terror would laugh again, he was winning and he knew it.

The demon that charged the bunker would be able to crash through it, although he would likely be killed in the process since he would be charging point-blank at a machine gun nest. He would trample the people inside and bust up most of the heavy weaponry. Meanwhile, the ghouls would have a difficult time breaking into the other bunker since it was guarded by other raiders and fortified with metal doors. The ghouls would take down a few of the guards, but it would take them some time to be able to bust through the doors.

Steele saw that the other emplacement was about to be overrun, so he made his way over and opened fire on the ghouls as he ran. He would try to gun them down before they could destroy the doors so the machine gunners inside could continue holding the other beasts back. Steele heard the terror laughing, and shouted out in response.

"What do you have to laugh about, ugly? You think you're tough shit, huh? Try piecing all your shitty little demons and zombies back together once I'm done with them!"

He charged the group of ghouls, slamming directly into them point-blank and then opening up full-auto to keep them away from his men.

The terror would still laugh as he mowed down swaths of ghouls no matter how many came at him. Hpefully the chopper would be coming soon because the beasts would be tearing apart his men and forcing them all into the corner that Steele was in clustering them. The remaining beasts and ghouls were closing in.

Steele relentlessly plowed through the ghouls, beating them off and gunning them down point-blank until his assault rifle ran out of ammo. He tossed it to the side and pulled a large, spiked metal club from off his back. It was larger than a usual two-handed club, studded with metal spikes, and wrapped in barbed wire at the tip. He swung it mercilessly, bashing ghouls out of his way ferociously. Most of his remaining men cornered up behind him, covering him while he kept the ghouls away from the machine-gun bunker that kept most of the beasts at bay.

The distinctive, roaring sound of chopper blades might barely be heard in the distance as the evac approached.
