| During the outbreak some were subjected to genetic altering to try and prevent unnecessary death. These experiments were named The Chroma Project after what the were experimenting with...Chromosomes. Nearly all subjects died during the experiments and the ones who didn't died soon after. Those who survived the horrific experiments were shunned by the normal survivors and soon learned to not associate with the "regulars". Many of the surviving subjects were kept captive in stasis chambers and are still being experimented on. No ones knows how many are still living and how many walk among regulars undetected. At the beginning of the cataclysm scientist, or those from posed as scientist, took subjects in to experiment of for reasons of "finding a cure for the virus" however this was not to be. The subjects were actually intended to be human weapons. They were enhanced, weapons were graphed onto their bodies, many were subjected to intense physical training and testing while others were secluded and isolated from human contact, they did everything possible to create the strongest and most versatile weapon possible. Some of those whom they believed to have died during experimentation awakened after literally being throw away like trash. As the cataclysm pressed on the scientist placed all subjects, dead and alive, in stasis chambers across different labs and underground structures. Wastelands: The wastelands, this is where the majority of Chroma project took place. Under the barren earth are many labs which were used to house the subjects of Chroma. Though Chroma was made public after the virus outbreak it was started underground many years before that. These are the labs in which the first test subjects were taken into for experimentation. Some of the 'failed' subjects are still in stasis in the area.

| Name: Lillith Locke Age: 23 (appears) Gender: Female Eye Color: Blue Hair Color: Black Quick Bio: The seventh experimental patient, is one of the few to have been able to hide and live normally for some time. She is the only known living Chroma to have escaped stasis. She has full control over her strength and she remembers exactly who it was the brought her into the project, what scientists experimented on her and who she is out to kill. She has a long standing grudge against the one who brought her into the Project, he not only experimented on her but abused her physically and mentally during her time in the project. Lilith Name: Subject 109, Fawl Age: 12 (appears) Gender: Female Eye Color: Red Hair Color: Brown Quick Bio: Fawl was found by Micheal the forger in a stasis chamber in the wastelands. Her memory of the events leading to her current state is vague and what she can remember is hazy. Fawl Name: Darrien Age: 28 (appears) Gender: Male Eye Color: Silver Hair Color: Greying Blonde Quick Bio: A mysterious man who is seen mostly in the wastelands. Darrien is considered one of the 'failure' subjects due to his mental and physical state being unstable. He trained a Hawk named Draken to hunt and observe his prey. Darrien Draken Name: Dakota (subject 137 in Requiem) Age: unknown Gender: Male Eye Color: Red Hair Color: Silver Quick Bio: Dakota was a failure in the Requiem project. Thought to have been killed during experimentation, he was thrown into a holding container. When he awoke he kill the guards in the area and disappeared. He is unable to physically speak due to the amount of experimentation that he received during requiem. Instead he speaks through telepathic messages and can read the minds of the weak minded with ease. He can read the minds of most humans, however, if this is used recklessly it could drain his power and kill him. Mark of the Chroma: All Chroma were marked with this earring. Unlike earrings however, these are graphed into their left ear so that escaped subjects could easily be distinguished. Mark of the Chroma Whispers:Whispers are Chroma with an inhuman connection to animals. They can understand them like others understand someone speaking. Whispers are quite fond of birds of prey among other animals. Requiem: "Project Chroma, sub-project Requiem. failed subjects: 1-108, 110-200; Successful subjects: 109." Requiem Chroma project, this project was instated for 200 subjects of top compatibility. Only one was considered a success. Requiem was designed to enhance mental capability and physical strength. This was the elite project in Chroma. Only the most compatible subjects were chosen for requiem. The project was canceled after realizing that the stress inflicted on the subjects made their mental state unstable if they survived it.

| Knuckle Graphs: Each Chroma is equipped with hand to hand combat armor. These ring-like weapons are graphed into their bones, making them permanent. These range from many different style, some with blades and others without, depending on the battle type of the user. Lilith's Knuckle Graphs Darrien's Knuckle Graphs Fawl's Knuckle Graphs Stasis Chambers: "Stasis, what they told us would be a 'painless and harmless way to keep us alive throughout the treatments and tests.' They lied, we felt everything they did to us. We could feel them ripping us apart from the inside, changing us. It made us forget, what we knew, what we cared about, who we were, everything. We were no longer human. Without that, we were nothing. We had no place to go, no one to love, nothing." Stasis chambers were created for one purpose, to keep useful subjects alive during experimental chromosome alterations and genetic changes. They are equipped with synthesis power. Synthesis power draws off of the subject's energy and can be nearly endless. Once a has been placed in stasis the chamber can keep them alive for ages without them aging or even waking up. However, like the fabled 'Odin sleep', they can hear, feel, and sense everything around them. | |
