Across the Wastelands

In the barren, desolate Wastelands, a single figure can be seen treading across the bleak landscape. A dirty, torn cloak flows behind him, wrapped around his tattered and ripped leather garments. A rebreather is strapped across his face, completely covering his mouth and nose. It seems to be connected to some sort of containers on his back.

The man stops and looks around, scanning the landscape for any sign of movement or life.

He would see a man clad in improvised scrap metal armor walking along with a sand brown cloak on , around him was a group of 10 dog sized scrap metal bugs that seemed to be telling him where something was. The man followed them but it was apparent he was in command.

In the distance the figure could see something metal. It was half buried and could only be seen from one side. It's identity couldn't be fulling distinguished due to wreckage and dirt built up on it, however it seemed to have pipes and tubes protruding from it. It seemed to be misplaced among the typical wreckage in a now barren land.

The bots would break from their current path when they saw it and they walked toward it, their master followed them intrigued by it. As he neared it he said in a Scottish sounding accent "Hmmm what are you..."

The top of it was covered in a thin layer of dust and dirt but one could tell the top was glass or at least clear. There seemed to be some kind of power source running it as a dim light shone through the dirt on the side the man approached from.

As soon as the man saw movement in the distance, he would stand still and discreetly reach into his cloak to prepare to draw a weapon if necessary.

The man would raise any eyebrow "Interesting...This could be something we could use..." He would brush some of the dust off of it.

The cloaked man slowly moves forward, waiting to see if the other person in the distance is paying enough attention to see him moving closer to him.

After pushing some dirt aside he would see a young girl seemingly sleeping inside the chamber. She looked to be approximately twelve.

His eyes would widen "WHAT THE FUCK!?" he would tell his trash bots to move as he brushed the rest of it off. He would sigh and scratch his head "What the hell do i do know?...how do i wake her up!?"

He continued closer after hearing the man shout, trying to get a closer look at what was going on. He very discreetly reached for a weapon at his side.

As the man came closer and closer, the sound of the rebreather may give him away - every few seconds, a hiss of air would escape from the device.

He would see the man coming and have 5 of the bugs move between him and the oncoming man, he would tell the other five to try and find a way to open the container or atleast look for a control panel. The man would look and say "Ah hello there stranger, and who might you be?"

The man would stop a few feet away, watching the trash bugs and the other man standing by the strange chamber. He would speak calmly, but his voice sounded deep, hoarse, and almost mechanical as it was processed through the rebreather.

"Hello...I am just passing through. I mean no harm to you, or...anything else." He glanced suspiciously at the trash bugs and the object partially covered in sand.

The bugs would find a panel near the lights on the side of the chamber. There he would see an inscription reading "Subject: 109 Codename: Fawl"

The man would nod "Ahh, alright then." The bugs would tell him and he would nod then move over to the control panel "Subject?....codename...hmmm" he would say the name quietly to himself "Alright Fawl, im gonna get you out of there...i hope." he would look for any buttons that would look like they would release the girl from the pod and nce he found them he would press them. The bugs would stand between the pod and the man.

The man stepped forward without hesitation.

"What is this? Are you speaking to someone in there?..."

He leaned closer to look inside cautiously.

The bugs didnt have orders to attack so they just didnt move. The forger looked at him and shook his head "No idea my friend, and...sort of...there's a little girl and there and im trying to get her out."

After pressing several buttons in sequence the chamber started to make a buzzing sound then released the seals. This kicked up the dirt and dust on the chamber and blew it relentlessly around, nearly creating a dust devil. The chamber slowly opened as the dust settled. She was still unconscious for the moment.

He would hold the cloak down in front of his face during the dust storm and when it stopped and the chamber opened he stood up and looked in "Why are you out here all alone little one....."

Zaynon was thoroughly interested, but he decided only to watch for awhile. The entire scene was very strange to him, as he had hardly encountered anything on his trip across the Wastelands, and even now he wasn't exactly sure how to react.

Her eyes would start to open and she looked around, scared and frightened.
"Where a..am I?" Who are you people?" She asked nervously.

The Forger would kneel down "Hi my name is Michael, your in the waste lands pretty much just a big desert. Dont be scared no one is going to hurt you."

"Calm down, young one. You are in the Wastelands of Srezia."

He stepped forward slowly, trying to get a closer look to see if he might be able to recognize where the girl had come from or what type of chamber she had been contained in."

"Are you hurt? What is your name?"

She backed away from the man in dark cloak who's breathing frightened her more.
"I..I don't know that...not any of it," she said more nervously than before. "Please mister, don't hurt me," she quietly whispered as tears began to well in her eyes.

The man tried to stay calm to keep from scaring the young girl. He slowed his breathing so the mechanical noise wouldn't frighten her any more.

"I will not hurt you. There is no need to be frightened."
