Trail of the Terror - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Trail of the Terror   Trail of the Terror - Page 2 EmptySun Aug 14, 2011 6:55 pm

The terror would laugh "Tell that to the people your serving right now." He would stop instead of charging and watch her intently. He wanted this demon, she could make him the most powerful terror besides his master.

The rune borne that was still alive would now have the two of them attack him as his sword glanced off the armor on the chest of the beast. Its weakness was right behind the top of its head on the neck, there was the weakest armor.

The three demons that were going to attack it dashed forward trying to keep away from its feet and any other attack it would throw at them and taking the heat from the other two who would swing wide and try and go around the hulking monstrosity.

PostSubject: Re: Trail of the Terror   Trail of the Terror - Page 2 EmptyMon Aug 15, 2011 4:18 pm

"I do not serve mortal people. I serve the Order. The people are simply pawns." Zaiyah twirled the blades at her side and bared her fangs, challenging the terror. The remaining heavy Runeborne still held its ground, keeping the rest of the demons in the main battlefield at bay as the hellhounds continued to rush the ghouls.

The orreghar's deep voice rumbled as it let out a brutal cry. It swung its massive spiked and clawed fist at the closest terror with enough force to throw a small vehicle several yards through the air. It moved slowly, but it had incredible strength. As the desert demons tried to swarm the orreghar and get around it, Valrien watched closely. From the shadows, he leapt onto one of the chained, eagerly awaiting arrhaks that they rode in on earlier and charged forth at full speed towards the demons that were trying to sneak to the side. He got off a few quick shots at them with his rifle as he approached, and then strapped it onto his back and prepared to strike with his greatsword as the arrhak got closer and charged ahead towards one of the demons fearlessly.

The terror clicked its claws against each other creating sparks and he would advance slightly "Oh because the priests and priestesses are definatly not human." He would charge at her and bring one hand down to slash and rake across the ground at her legs with the other hand.

The ghouls kept on fighting the hell hounds but because of numbers were being held back and beaten back slightly. The Two armored demons kept attacking the heavy rune borne trying to knock it over. The demons would dodge the attack one would fall over be quickly recover and begin moving again. They would use their superior speed to try and get in and attack its legs whenever possible. Valrien's bullet alert one of the other two demons to him and its runs at him to attack while the other continues to go for Kesrai.

Zaiyah spun out of the way quickly, whirling her blades as she dodged to the side. She was thrown off balance and her legs were sliced slightly, but she managed to move out of the way. As soon as she was out of the terror's reach, she leapt back at him and pierced at him swiftly in mid-air.

The Runeborne soldier was being kept alive by the enhancements and healing of his allies, and he was able to hold the armored demons back even though he couldn't do much damage to them while he was defending himself. One of the blows from the demons sent him stumbling backwards with enough force to almost kill him, but another healing spell from one of the light Runeborne brought him back from the brink of death long enough to regain himself and prepare to block their attacks again.

The orreghar continued mauling and swiping at the desert demons, trying to knock them off balance or throw them off of the ridge with its attacks. Its legs were mostly protected by heavy, spiked plate armor which made it difficult to damage, but it staggered with every few attacks from its foes. Valrien continued the charge on back of his arrhak, almost as if he was playing chicken with the desert demon. As he guided the arrhak to sprint straight towards the demon, ready to gouge into it with its horns, Valrien leapt off the back of his mount and jumped towards the demon, forcing the greatsword down towards the back of its neck to try and sever its spinal cord with a single, strong thrust.

The terror would try and attack her again but she was out of reach and when she cut him in mid air he recoiled snarling obscenities in demon at her. He would shoot more of the spikes at her as he tried to herd her closer in toward him snarling as he did it.

The armored demon realized finally what was happening and the first pushed hard on the rune borne trying to knock him off balance and keep him away from the other who turned and dashed for the light rune borne who were healing the heavy. The armored demon would charge straight at one of them horns forward ready to gore the creature.

As the other demons still managed to harass the massive beast the other would twist away from the blade slightly and not be killed so quickly but the sword still cut deep on his back making the creature roar and pain and wheel on its oppnent bringing its claws to bear trying to rend the small man to pieces, as it swung its tail at the other creatures legs.

The demon looking for kesrai would continue looking until it found her.

Zaiyah was hit by two spikes in the leg and another one in the side. Her light armor blocked the spikes from causing fatal damage, but she was still hurt and thrown off balance for a moment until she pulled the spikes out and continued fighting.

The heavy Runeborne soldier tried to hold the desert demons back but he was unable to; as they charged forth towards the light Runeborne soldiers, they would have to plow through the swarms of hellhounds first to get to them. One of the armored demons would break through, goring one light soldier and instantly killing him as he was impaled by the demon's horns.

Valrien clung to the creature's neck, trying to keep himself from being thrown off as he twisted the blade as deep as it would go. One of the demon's claws slashed at his legs as he dangled, using one hand to clutch the beast's neck and the other to grasp the hilt of his sword. The orreghar continued fighting off the rest of the demons, keeping them away from Kesrai, who was positioned a few yards away on the other side of the ridge. She was standing atop one of the rock formations which was a few feet up and surrounded by boulders. Both of her hands were raised and her palms were outstretched towards the orreghar, emanating a silvery-hued energy. She appeared to be in a dazed and trance-like state as she controlled the orreghar. A few more hellhounds and two light Runeborne soldiers waited nearby to help defend her if necessary, if the demon would see her and come any closer.

The terror would charge her in this moment of weakness trying to slash at her with both his claws and tail. He wasn't going to kill her just beat her.

The other armored demon would move slower the rough the hell hounds making sure to take out as many as he could before he plowed through them and jumped at the other light rune borne. The other armored demon attack it as well trying to overwhelm it.

The demons would continue to run around the massive beast harrassing it, one would get hit by the beasts fist but only slightly so the demon would fall over and brake a leg now hobbling up to the beast but still quickly and it would leap up on its back and claw and bite. The other demons would jerk and twist trying to throw valrien off his back and would rear on its hind legs quickly then go back down trying to throw him off. The other demon finally found kesrai and knew it's order. It run its foot along the ground to prepare a dead charge to take her down quickly.

PostSubject: Re: Trail of the Terror   Trail of the Terror - Page 2 EmptyTue Aug 16, 2011 9:52 pm

Zaiyah stumbled backwards as the terror charged at her and slashed across her chest with his claws. She thrust both of her blades forward as the terror was nearly on top of her, charging them both with bright, glistening energy. She aimed them towards his upper chest.

The hellhounds were no match against the much larger armored demons, and they were plowed through easily by the large beasts. The light Runeborne soldier was tackled and fell to the ground underneath the demon's weight, instantly being crushed and killed. The other began blasting runic magic at the remaining demons, doing as much damage as it could and draining its own energy before its inevitable defeat.

Unintimidated, the orreghar continued its assault, bashing into as many of the beasts with its massive fists and trying to kick or stomp down on them with its huge hooves. It reached down to try and lift one of the demons up as it swiped the others back. Valrien barely managed to hold onto the demon by the hilt of his sword, and the blade was driven in deeper each time the beast twisted or tried to rear back to throw him off. When he got too close to being thrown off, he gripped onto the demon's mane to keep himself from being thrown. He pulled a curved, intricately carved hunting dagger from a sheath at his side and drove it as close as he could into the back of its skull, trying to finish it off.

The Runeborne near Kesrai stepped out in front of her, and the hellhounds charged at the demon to hold it off a bit longer. A few glowing, silver, circular rifts appeared on the ground in front of Kesrai as she began to cast another summoning spell.

The terror would get stabbed in the chest but he wheeled backward quickly keeping from being mortally wounded and he would turn quickly and move back staring her down panting hurt and roaring.

The armored finish off the light rune borne quickly and wheel around attack the hell hounds with the ghouls now trying to kill them to go and aid its other demon brothers

The demon on his back would hold on and continue biting and clawing while the one it picked bite and clawed at its hands and wrist as the other kept running around it dodging its attacks as much as possible. The beast under attack by valrien would begin to falter but it would then turn around and to try and kill what was going to kill it would run its side toward and wall trying to kill him. He was running quickly. and would have a good chance of crushing the new order hopeful

The demon would roar and charge forward running as fast as possible its horn sticking out right. It would kill its self to at least run her down and crush her with its weight. The armored demons would join the fight hearing the roar running through the hell hounds and up the ridge looking down at her and charging forward as well ready to rip apart the creatures defending her.

PostSubject: Re: Trail of the Terror   Trail of the Terror - Page 2 EmptyWed Aug 17, 2011 12:17 am

Zaiyah pierced into the terror's chest as deeply as she could before he moved back, and then charged at him to try and slash and pierce at him again. She tried to do as much damage as possible while he was hurt.

The light Runeborne fell quickly, being no match for the demons' superior strength and size. The orreghar saw the others charging, and took the opportunity to hurl the demon that he had lifted up through the air towards them to try and hit them or at least cause them to pause for a bit. He bashed at the other one that had latched onto his back, trying to knock it off or crush it while it attempted to beat the others back away from Kesrai.

Valrien saw that the demon was charging towards the boulders. He realized that there was hardly anything more he could do. He sent a bolt of runic energy through the dagger embedded into the beast's neck, using the most powerful jolt that he had learned to control, to try and disorient the demon and possibly drain the rest of its energy. At the last second, Valrien pulled himself over to the beast's other side and then leapt off to roll into the desert sand as the demon rammed into the wall to try and crush him. The demon was moving so quickly that Valrien crashed into the ground and slammed into his side.

Kesrai summoned three beings around her that were glowing, as if entire parts of their body were composed completely of silvery-blue energy instead of flesh and bones. One of them, a female being, had arms that were made of swirling energy, other was created with part of his face and torso missing and composed of energy, while the final one had hands, legs, and a massive scythe that glowed bright blue with runic magic. They were positioned around Kesrai to guard her, while the two light Runeborne waited beside her and the hellhounds lunged forth at the first demon. They tried to rip at it and pull it down towards the side to slow it down, while the first Spiritborne raised her arms to shoot massive, rapid bolts of energy at the first demon.

The terror recoiled quickly using his spiked arms to block her attacks and would keep her at bay,

The armored demons would move quickly and dodge around the other demon that was thrown at them and the one on his back would move quickly only getting one leg smashed but it would manage to cling to the back and claw and bite as much as possibl as it slowly dies.

The demons would spazm and flip over crashing against the wall breaking its own neck and dying.

The armored demons would continue their dead bolt for kesrai as the other demons was being attack though it kept running forward as fast as possible still being attack but ignoring the pain as much as possible.

Zaiyah pulled back after being unable to break through the terror's blocking attacks. She took a few steps back, still within range but far enough away to dodge his next blow and try to counter-attack.

The orreghar didn't pause in its assault on the demons. It ripped a boulder up from the ground, using it to try and mash any demons that got close enough into the ground.

Valrien collapsed in the sand after watching the demon crash over the wall of rock and off of the ridge. He panted heavily and coughed up a bit of blood as he slowly got to his feet, trying to recover as he sheathed his dagger and picked his greatsword up off of the ground as it dripped with the blood of the demon.

The Spiritborne caster would unleash her full fury on the demons, blasting a rapid barrage of rune bolts from her hands with the force of a minigun at any demon within range. The second Spiritborne stepped forward with energy emanating around him from his hands, while the third charged forward with his scythe, ready to slash at the first demon.

The ghouls with the help of the armored demons would by this point more than likely have overwhelmed the hell hounds, as the terror moved back quickly keeping distance between him and zaiyah going more on the defensive, roaring again sending his ghouls into another frenzy.

The one demon still on the ground was managing to dodge the attacks from the massive beast as the one on its back lost grip and fell off dying.

A few of the ghouls would see the wounded valrien and snarl frenzied running at him claws out right.

The first demon was wounded and would falter moving slower but still forward running its horns at the 1st spirit borne if it made it that far. The two armored demons would only be annoyed by the minigun like fire and would keep running forward trying to dodge the bolts of magic as much as possible

The ghouls eventually overran most of the hellhounds, although some of them remained and took down as many ghouls as they could. Zaiyah quickly advanced on the terror, taking the opportunity to spin and sweep at his legs to avoid any of his spikes or other attacks while she tried to knock him off balance.

The orreghar finished off the rest of the demons as quickly as it could, bringing down its massive hoof towards the demon that was nearly dead to try and stomp it under its weight. It bashed its fists down towards the last remaining demon, hoping to hit it or the ground near it to at least disorient it.

Valrien barely had enough time to glance at the area around him, realizing how overwhelmed the forces of the Order had become. He saw the ghouls approaching him and began to back up, drawing his rifle and taking a few shots to take down the closest ghouls.

The Spiritborne scyther charged the first demon, swinging its scythe directly up towards the demon's side. The scythe was completely charged with runic energy, and if it pierced the demon, it would send shockwaves through its body that were probably strong enough to finish it off. The caster continued pummelling the other demons with the bolts, focusing more on the armored demons now, while the other Spiritborne continued charging another spell.

As the ghouls over whelmed their enemy they split some climbing up a nearby ridge and attempting to jump on the back and neck of the orreghar and the other half following quickly after the armored demons.

The one demon fighting the orreghar would be disoriented by the slams on the ground but would quickly recover running under the beast and then around it.

Five ghouls went after him and he was able to bring two down with the rifle before they got closer.

The first demon run its horn toward the scythe spirit as its side is slashed and it begins to fall over roaring in pain.

The armored demons roar their rage at seeing thier fellow demon killed and run forward faster almost in a frenzy. The ghouls who were already frenzied were catching up quickly.

The orreghar wouldn't be able to stop the ghouls from climbing up its back and neck, but it would claw at them to try and rip them off and hurl them to the ground as it kicked at the remaining demon trying to dodge in between its feet.

Valrien strapped his rifle onto his back again and held his blade at the ready to defend himself against the ghouls. There were three of them left, and he was convinced that he would be able to take them. He backed up against the rock wall to protect himself from any surprise attacks from the other ghouls.

The scyther spun wildly in a dance of frenzied rage, slashing at anything within range and trying to take down the first demon. As it began to go down, the scyther aimed towards its neck to try and slash its throat open before it moved on towards the armored demons as fast as it could. The caster blasted full-force at the armored demons, while the other Spiritborne came close to finishing his spell.

The ghouls would move quickly scuttling around its back and neck away from its hand getting to spot it couldnt reach. A few of them would just rip and tear while other would bite like ticks.

The ghouls would make a half circle around him cornering him on the rock wall. They would slowly get closer until one of them jumped forward claws ready to rend and tear.

The first demon went down but clawed angrily at the scyther before it died. The ghouls going after the armored demons would break off and head toward the sycther and the caster. The armored demons would roar being slowed down slightl and one would leap to try and take the sycther by surprise as the other continued to run at full speed.

The orreghar's skin was tough and difficult to tear, rip, or bite into, but the ghouls would eventually be able to do some damage. It tried to ignore the ghouls, and it started to charge at the armored demons, although it was weakened.

Valrien stood up bravely against the ghouls. He raised his sword towards the first one that jumped at him, leaving no chance for the ghoul to land safely without impaling itself on the tip of his sword.

The scyther spun out of the way as the first demon fell. It rushed forth quickly towards the other armored demons, trying to pierce another one in the side and take it by surprise as it began to whirl and spin in between them. The demon that leapt at the scyther took it by surprise, and would have a chance to get a hit in if it moved quickly and wasn't hit by the scythe that was flailing around in all directions. The armored demon running at full speed came within feet of Kesrai. The other Spiritborne standing directly at her side raised his arms straight forward, releasing the emanation of the spell that he had been charging. The energy blasted forth from his hands and formed a huge barrier like a floating shield or wall made entirely of silver light and energy directly in front of the charging demon.

The ghouls would do their best to slow the beast down scratching and biting wherever they could as hard as they could, and their jaws had incredible bite forces.

That one ghouls would impale himself upon the sword but then the other two would rush in ready to rend and tear his flesh.

The armored demons was being cut and scratched by the scyther but it would quickly swipe its large fore claws at its head and torso trying to kill it. The other armored demon would run forward with its horns out as fast as it could toward the shield, if the sheild stopped it a bunch of ghouls climbed on top of its back and were going to jump over the shield hopefully and land on kesrai.

PostSubject: Re: Trail of the Terror   Trail of the Terror - Page 2 EmptyWed Aug 17, 2011 6:15 pm

Eventually, the orreghar started to get worn down by the ghouls. The light Runeborne near Kesrai healed it, and then shot a few bolts of energy towards the ghouls that were latched onto it to try and get them off.

Valrien slid the ghoul off the blade of his sword with his boot, and then quickly turned and swept his blade towards the other two ghouls to try and hit them or keep them back.

The scyther was hit by the demon's attack and thrown to the ground, nearly being killed. It hooked its scythe up into the air, trying to catch the demon and pierce it through its face or neck as it was thrown down. As soon as the other demon made contact with the shield, the charged runic power contained in the shield was released as if the wall was a highly voltaic electric fence. Anything that touched the shield would have the charge released into it with incredible force as the power shot out, and the shield shattered into thousands of tiny, sharp shards that went flying towards the group of demons.

The armored demon that hit the wall would be pushed back but the ghouls would still manage to jump off a few of them being cut by the shards. These ghouls were aiming to land on and tear kesrai apart.

The armored demon would gut a deep cut along its face but still manage to move and run its its horn into the spirit borne and then run and bulldoze it way into the light rune borne.

The ghouls on the monsters back were getting hit off but many of the moved quickly and clung to is back continueing their assault

The shards would fly with incredible force, piercing and slashing like thousands of tiny, electrically-charged blades or sharp slivers of glass. The ghouls that managed to get past the explosion of the Spiritborne's wall and its flying shards would face a few of the remaining hell-hounds which leapt forth and lunged at them, trying to take them down and tackle them. The Spiritborne caster changed its focus towards the closest ghouls, trying to blast them with its runic bolts. The other Spiritborne began casting slower, but more powerful blasts of energy to try and hold the demons and ghouls back.

The Spiritborne was run through with the demon's horn, and it released its energy in an explosive burst around it as it imploded and was destroyed, doing as much damage as it could. The orreghar stomped forward, bashing and kicking towards the demons and ghouls nearby.

6 ghouls landed past the explosion and would run forward at the hell hounds claws forward and teeth barred. The armored demon that was blasted back by the shield's explosion would get up and shake it off, charging at the rune borne attacking the ghouls as the other armored demon was thrown a bit off balance by the other explosion but ran forward at the light rune borne and would attack it none the less.

A few ghouls were kicked by the orreghar but the demons were moving around too fast and too much. The ghouls on its back continued attacking.

The ghouls would move back from his attack and not be hurt but would renew their attack as soon as possible

PostSubject: Re: Trail of the Terror   Trail of the Terror - Page 2 EmptyFri Aug 19, 2011 12:22 am

The hellhounds rushed forward and clashed with the ghouls, trying to tackle them down and grab onto their limbs to drag them to the ground and maul them. The Runeborne stood back by Kesrai, but they had no defenses and they relied on the Spiritborne to help them keep the demons back. The Spiritborne defender cast another spell, sending out rays of energy to whip into the air and lash around the demons' limbs to try and hold them back or topple them over onto the ground. If any of the demons were caught by the spell, the Spiritborne caster would pummel them with fast, powerful beams with the force of RPG's directly at the demon. One of the light Runeborne was caught by the demon, and it was thrown to the ground and killed instantly by the beast's claws. The others continued healing their allies and blasting energy at their foes.

Valrien held the ghouls back with his greatsword, and he advanced on one to try and slash it across the chest before quickly whirling around to parry or block any attacks that either ghoul might try to counter with.

The orreghar's back was eventually ripped into as the ghouls broke through its thick skin underneath the plate armor. It focused on taking out as many ghouls and causing as much damage to the demons as it could, charging full-force into the advancing enemies with the force of a massive wrecking ball, although it was only a matter of time before the orreghar would be taken down.

The ghoul valrien slashed across the chest would be hit but would grab his sword and hold it as best a sit could to slow the slash down so the other ghouls could leap onto his back trying to bring him down.

The other ghouls on the back of the orreghar continued to bite and claw byt faster now breaking its skin finally and trying to kill it before it could kill anymore of the swarming ghouls that have now begun to swarm the area around the spirit borne kesrai, and the rune borne. They were being over run.

Some of the ghouls would go down fighting the hell hounds while others would more than likely win their fights, being frenzied and move on to running at kesrai again.
