Steele's Journey

"Good." Steele extended his hand to offer Soura a handshake. "Have a beer, on me. Consider yourself one of my men now. I'll keep you updated with orders before we move out. Tell me...anyone else here looking for a group? Or do you know of anything else interesting around here?"

he would shake his hand and take the offer of the beer "Alright! thanks man, and uhhh....think the guy with the sniper rifle in the corner is lookin for a new employer. Sa'kage took out most of his group in some ruined city, he didnt wanna be in a group that couldnt handle themselves."

"Thanks. I'll be talking with you later. Take care..." Steele nodded at Soura, and then made his way across the bar towards the other man.

"Hey. Rumor has it you're looking for work?"

The man looked up at him and in a strong russian accent replied "I am, your name would be?"

"My name is Steele, raider commander...and you are? How about I get you a beer?"

He would look him over "My name is Ulinov." he would nod his head over to the large bottle sitting on his table "I already have drink for the night, Vodka is so much better than this "beer". "

Steele shrugged. "I'd have to agree with you there, but it's hard to find anymore. The good kind, at least," Steele grinned. "So, nice to meet you, Ulinov. I hear that you're looking for a group to work with. You interested?"

He would nod "Im looking to work with group who could stand up with sa'kage. My former team got attacked by 3 forger, decimated quickly. Could not waste my time or talent with such amateurs."

"Well, I assure you, I've had my fair share of run-ins with Sa'Kage...and if that's all you're concerned about, then trust me, I'd rather kiss a ghoul's ass than run away from some Sa'Kage junk-yard dogs. They go down just like anyone else that gets in our way. Tell me what kind of 'talent' you have, Ulinov."

He would smile and nod "i am ex KGB and a russian military sniper scout and heavy weapons specialist. I had one of the highest kill counts in Russia before "derʹmo popal v ventilyator" or how you americans would say it before shit hit fan." He would chuckle a bit "If you can beat Sa'kage bitches, you have Ulinov."

Steele chuckled and extended his hand. "Welcome aboard, Ulinov." He would repeat the same simple set of rules that he had told Soura, and he was glad to have added another two men to his group - especially since they seemed capable, competent, and skillful.

"Know of anyone or anything else around here that might be worth hearing about?"

Ulinov would nod "I have store us up town a bit, many supplies and weapons from russia there. I even have 5 other men ex kgb like me protecting our things. If you would like i can show you."

"Yes. I'd like that very much, thanks." Steele called his men over. "Let's go, then."

Souru and Sarge would follow as well of course and Ulinov would lead the down the road a fair way before getting to a large run down storage facility. He would turn to the people with them and say "Alright, the guys havent met you so dont try and touch anything, they may not like it until i explain. They are kinda touchy."

The rest of Steele's men would follow him out. The majority of the group was still waiting by the choppers, but Steele gestured that it was safe. Some of them stayed where they were, but most of them went into the bar to trade for supplies, rest, get cleaned up, and get their wounds tended.

"No problem. You heard him, guys - don't touch anything."

They would walk into a large old industrial warehouse. The walls were lined with many different types of guns ranging from small caliber pistols to large mobile 40mm machine guns. The men there were all russian and were all cleaning weapons as they entered. Some were wearing body armor from the old military, other were wearing civilian clothing, while two of them had scavenged scrap metal armor. The guns they were cleaning happen to be three fully automatic combat shotguns, 2 M16s, three AK-47s and a couple of AA12s. They had one whole wall of cabinets and other storage devices on wheels loaded full of different kinds of ammunition. Sniper bullets, armor piercing, explosive, incendiary, you name it it was there. Ulinov and a few of the other russians began conversing in russian.

Steele nodded, slightly impressed, and spoke to Ulinov.

"Not bad, not bad...so, these guys interested in joining up, too?"

Ulinov would smile "Thank you, i got most of this from russia in the early months of all this shit." He would talk to his friends a bit more and they would all nod " They are in, your are my comrade and therefore thier's as well." The other russians would all stand up and say variants of the word hello, all in english of course.

Steele introduced himself and then greeted each man individually, taking a moment to shake each of their hands.

"Glad to have you all aboard. So, my men need to restock. This equipment might be useful..."

Ulinov chuckled and nodded over to three large trucks near the other end of the warehouse "Enough room in those for everything in this warehouse. Its all mine so now, its all yours my friends."

Steele grinned and nodded. "Glad to hear it. Tell you what - we'll get everything we need loaded up soon, but for the night, my men need to rest. We'll all meet up tomorrow and get everything straightened out, and decide what our plan is. For all of you - my new 'comrades' - drinks are on me tonight."

The other men smiled and roared their approval of the drinks and ulinov nodded "Alright, commander Steele. Tomorrow. Are we acutally moving out tomorrow? Do u have any where specific you want to go?"

"Well, I don't know yet. Everything that my men and I have known is up in flames. So...we have nowhere to go, and nothing to do. We're starting from scratch. I haven't decided to move out tomorrow, or wait it out longer. Any ideas? You all know this area well enough."

He would nod "Right, very sorry to hear that. I think best idea is move out as soon as possible, the longer you stay here, the more chance some of more men leave for groups the have more established home."

"You're probably right." Steele started walking back out, towards the bar. "So, what kind of places around here are interesting? I need somewhere else to set up camp...outside of the god-forsaken fucking Wastelands."
