Undying Devotion

He would chuckle and smile "About 50 miles to the obsidian forest from here i think. So about an hour?"

"Yes...thank you...we'll be there soon." Zaynon paused for a moment to look around as the truck rolled across the Wastelands...

The roar of engines blasted out into the quiet desert as the truck passed by one of the many desert mesas. From behind cover of the cliff a few yards away, a group of raiders suddenly appeared to ambush the Sa'Kage truck. They had set up an ambush by the road, watching for any travelers, and they quickly swarmed around the Sa'Kage truck. About five raiders on motorbikes zoomed forth, and they were alongside the truck within a few seconds. Two all-terrain jeeps that looked like they were scrapped military vehicles rumbled out from behind the cliffside, loaded with men and gunners, and they approached quickly. A third one pulled out in front of the truck, blocking the road. A laughing, cynical voice boomed out over a megaphone from one of the jeeps.

"Pull over, if you don't wanna fuckin' die!"

Donny swore "Ohhh fuck. Do it we dont have enough men" They pulled over and got ready to try and fight if they needed to.

"Haha! They look like fuckin' Sa'Kage!"

"SCORE!"

"Fuckin' jackpot, man!"

The raiders in the jeep blocking the road in front of them got out, but stayed near their vehicle to use it as cover. One gunner stood inside the jeep, aiming the mounted light machine gun on the jeep towards the truck. The raiders on motorbikes pulled up around the sides, partially surrounding the truck, and they unloaded carrying handguns, SMG's, or assault rifles. The two other jeeps pulled up, one at the right side and one at the back of the truck a few feet away, and four men unloaded from each of the jeeps. Overall, there were less than twenty raiders. They surrounded the truck, and a group of five raiders went towards the front while another group of five went towards the back.

"Everybody out! Out of the damn truck! Keep your hands where we can see them, and leave your fuckin' weapons down! Any funny shit, and you ALL die!"

Zaynon reluctantly did as they said, and followed the Sa'Kage. He left his rifle laying down inside the truck and slowly began to stand up, quietly waiting to see what the Sa'Kage would do.

The Raiders would be too distracted by the jackpot and their hostages to notice a man in trench coat approaching from the east. His mannerism might seem familiar to Donny...almost too familiar. He wore a blackened steel mask over the lower half of his face. At his side was a large black broadsword and on the other was a fully automatic small sized machine gun. He might get within firing range before being noticed by the raiders. He would speak under his breath as he closed the distance between.

"Ah, the hunter has found his prey...but that man by the truck...seems familiar."

"Hey...who the fuck is that?"

A few of the raiders noticed the man approaching, and spun around to aim their weapons.

"Shit! You ain't a raider, are you?!"

"Don't move, or we'll shoot!"

He kept approaching despite their warning. His left hand gently placed on the hilt of his sword and the other was positioned for a quick draw of his gun. He returned their threats with an icy glare that seemed to cut through the distance, as if he were only a few feet from them. He laughed before before speaking a few confident words.

"As if I haven't heard that before. Hah, 'Who am I', I believe I'll become the nightmare that haunts you."

"Looks like he's packing..."

"Hey man, you wanna get fuckin' shot? Back the hell up. Are you Sa'Kage?"

The raiders were unafraid, and they kept their guns raised at the man as he approached.

The sa'kage stood their and did as they were told just waiting for the chance to rip these guys apart for their boldness they dare attack the Sa'kage and expect to live? Donny smiled when he saw the guy coming and just shook his head, he was guessing who it was but he just shook his head. "Oh man, i think you guys are fucked now. Well, more so then when you pulled me over."

Zaynon tried to stay behind the Sa'kage - he was hardly in any condition to fight if anything would happen.

"Who's that?"

"Hey, shut the fuck up! Nobody fuckin' talk."

One of the raiders near the Sa'kage would reach forward to pistol-whip Donny. A few of the others kept their guns aimed directly at him, expecting him to have something planned, while the rest of them watched Arahn.

"That motherfucker's still comin' this way..."

"Man, you tryin' to get your ass shot?! One more step, and we'll shoot!"

He glared down at them as kept moving closer, hastening his steps. He raised his hands in a sarcastic surrender as he approached.

"Hahah, go ahead and shoot. You won't be able to hit me anyway, whether or not I draw my weapons."

Donny would let the man hit him and blood would pool in his mouth and some would drip down his lip and he would smile and look at the man and lick the blood away, he would look him over "I wonder how you would look torn into a bunch of little small tiny pieces."

"Alright - gun that fucker down!"

Three of the raiders opened fire on Arahn with assault rifles, aiming for his chest and head. The other raiders kept the Sa'kage rounded up and surrounded, watching them carefully to make sure they wouldn't try anything. One of them kept his handgun aimed at Donny's head.

"Shut the fuck up, you're the one that's gonna be in pieces...you'll look real damn good hangin' from a hook in my living room..." He snorted cynically with laughter.

Donny would just smirk and look at the man with a confident and slightly pitying smirk.

He switched steps from side to side and kept approaching. It was as if time itself had slowed for him, making it easy for him to simply walk by the bullets. Yet no one there could tell that time favored him but even time cannot forget it's own rules.

"What's that Donny, thought I'd fall here?" He shifted sides as a bullet grazed his right shoulder. "Heh, that's the first time I've been hit in awhile...hah Congrats to you solder, now die," with those words he phased through the distance with his sword drawn and stabbed the raider that wounded him.

"Remember my name, Arahn, Lord of Time."

The raider was stabbed straight through his chest and killed almost instantly. He had just enough time to choke up a mouthful of blood while the rest of the raiders watched in shock. About half of the raiders opened fire on Arahn immediately, while the rest of them decided that the Sa'kage were too much of a risk to keep alive in this situation. They started to gun them down, aiming for their heads at point-blank range in an execution-style shooting to get rid of as many as they could quickly and easily.

Zaynon had managed to make his way towards the middle of the group of Sa'kage, avoiding the sudden bursts of gunfire long enough to duck and take cover - for now, at least.

5 of the ten sa'kage dustmen would go down before the 15 trash bots that were hiding jumped out and blocked the others. The sa'kage quickly went about getting their guns or taking out a raider and stealing his. Donny went and would go to bash the raider who had hit him in the face with his left hand which happened to be wrapped in a spiked chain. Not large enough spikes to kill, just to maim.

Zaynon made his way back towards the truck, where he grabbed an SMG and a combat knife that had been dropped. He took cover and fought as effectively as he could despite his wounds, shooting the raiders towards the left side of the truck. He hit two of them several times and then moved in to stab another in the gut, giving the Sa'kage enough time to regroup at the other side of their truck.

Some of the raiders were taken out by the Sa'kage - about five of them, as well as the three that Zaynon had killed and the other one that Arahn stabbed. Altogether, about half of the raiders were killed. The remaining raiders were mostly behind, to the right, and towards the front of the truck. An all-out firefight began and the raiders tried to hold their position and kill as many enemies as they could.

The sa'kage would take cover where ever possible around the truck and fire at the raiders with almost deadly accuracy, being donny's soldiers these were elite dustmen. Donny quickly repaired the trash bots and sent them over the truck at the raiders as he shot at them from the other side. He looked at Zaynon "Ok NOW you may owe me" he laughed as he said it like he was having fun.

Arahn phased past the raiders stabbed one from behind, he drew his sword from him and slashed out at three others. The bullets kept flying past and many grazed him. He reached up with his right hand and unhinged his mask, revealing his face.

"What Donny, no greeting to your new ally?" he laughed a bit and smiled with a bit of insanity as he fought.
